I am allowing you into my World, I was once the young women out their trying to figure out who I am, and were I stand.  I was neglected, mistreated, misunderstood, abused mentally, emotionally, and physically, I was young and naive.  I had given my all to a lot of people,  but  felt like I was given nothing in return. You may have looked for love in all the wrong places, and walked around with a heavy heart. You may feel like you have no voice. As you read my story, you will understand that I was once who you may have been or are right now.  I’ve dealt with challenges and struggles,  and eventually  began doing what I knew I needed,  to get what I know I deserve. Overtime I learned to forgive what and who has hurt me, and move on from my past in order to gain a better future.

I hope you enjoy my story, because it was time for my heart to finally speak.

I was once you.

Emotional abuse is one of the hardest forms of abuse to recognize. It can be subtle and insidious or overt and manipulative. Either way, it chips away at the victim's self-esteem and they begin to doubt their perceptions and reality. Nearly half of all women and men in the United States have experienced psychological aggression by an intimate partner in their lifetime (48.4% and 48.8%, respectively) in the end, the victim feels trapped. They are often too wounded to endure the relationship any longer, but also too afraid to leave. So the cycle just repeats itself until something is done.

I encourage women of any age before you decide to marry, make sure that you fully recognize the warning labels. You cannot force someone to recognize your worth. By all means, you have to make change for yourself, and that’s what I decided to do.
